School Supply List 2016-17
This exciting school-wide assembly took Side Creek by surprise as this character education program entertained students while showing them how to make an impact in their lives and communities. The assembly taught the students the importance of staying in school, refusing drugs, getting involved and respect. The 50-minute interactive program included video presentations from the players, a visit from the Rockies mascot, Dinger, and prizes for all. Each student was given a take home lesson in which upon return will earn them a poster and bookmark.
The Side Creek Library Media Center is sponsoring a fall book fair beginning on Monday, November 7th and will continue until Friday, November 11th. There will be two nights during that week for parents to purchase as well.
Money from the book fair will go to the purchase of new books for the school library. Be sure to check out the book fair as books make great gifts for the upcoming season. Below are links for the complete schedule for the book fair.

Field Day was an amazing day of synergy! Field Day took place on Friday, September 9th with the K-2 students participating in the morning and the 3-5 students participating in the afternoon. The weather was absolutely perfect and each session consisted of 12 stations which were run by parent volunteers.
The morning session had some events such as pizza relay, Zumba with Mrs. Yuan and Mrs. Snelling, fitness musical hoops, as well as an obstacle course. The afternoon session involved water stations like Statue of Liberty and Helicopter.
The afternoon session also had some new events that were a hit such as Hungry Hungry Hippo and Spike Ball. The day was full of smiles and laughs which in the end makes it one to remember! Thank you so much for all of the parent volunteers who came out to help and encourage our students, it is greatly appreciated!
Very special thanks for Mrs. Zimmerman, Side Creek Physical Education teacher, for organizing another great Field Day.
