Happy Fourth Quarter Wolverine Families!
Our Colorado weather may not reflect it yet, but Spring is in the air! Our students are continuing to work hard, but they are eagerly awaiting Summer Break!
We have completed our state PARCC testing for or 3rd through 5th graders and so proud of our students. Thank you for your support during that stressful time. Your students worked hard on the assessments and we are confident that they did their very best! In March, we launched a new program promoting male volunteerism in schools. WATCH D.O.G.S. stands for Dads Of Great Students and can be found in many, many schools across the nation. Our program kick-off brought over 80 dads to the building and in one month we have already had almost a dozen come to school to spend the day! While here they support education in the classrooms, add a heightened level of security while supervising the campus and promote sportsmanship & safe play during recess. Most importantly, their children glow to see their dads here and all kids want to spend time with the WATCH D.O.G.S! If you are, or know, a male role model who would like to be a part of the program call the school for more information. Read the rest of this entry »
The Side Creek Library/Media Center thanks all of you for making our Spring Book fair a great success! The Book fair sold over $5000.00 in books. Our school share will provide over a hundred new books for the library media center.
Thanks for coming to the Book Fair!

Don't forget Wolverine Spirit Week - May 16th to May 20th!
Field Day was a great day for all students that participated on September 11th. The weather was pleasant and each student got to participate in 13 stations. Some of the K-2 stations included water balloon toss, sponge relay, 3 legged race, and a fun game called sink the ship. The 3-5 stations included an under/over relay, volleyball, team toss relay, and Zumba. The most popular event for all was the bouncy house and slide!
Thank you to each and every volunteer who took time out of their schedule to lead the games for our students. You all did a fabulous job and our students all had smiles on their faces because of you! Special Thanks to Mrs. Zimmerman, Side Creek Physical Education Teacher for coordinating this years' field day.
