Wolverine Field Day

Students at The Field Day

Students at The Field Day

Friday, April 10th was Side Creek Field Day 2009.  Students competed in over 10 events throughout their field day schedule including a rest station for a cool break in the action.  Side Creek Physical Education Teacher, Mrs. Leanne Zimmerman organized this year's event.  Special thanks to all the parents and the Side Creek PTO for their much needed assistance.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Monday, March 2nd was the 105th birthday of famous children's author Dr. Seuss.  It was also Read Across American Day all over the country and at Side Creek Elementary.  District superintendent Mr. John L. Barry(pictured on the right) was among the several "guest" readers who took time out from their busy schedule to read to Side Creek Students.  There were seven other gueat readers including Aurora Police Chief Oaks who read to students throughout the day.  The "Read Across America Day" was organized by Mrs. Noora Snelling, Media Circulation Clerk at Side Creek,  super2.jpg
